Contemporaryathon TBR

Contemporary is my favorite genre, so I had to participate in Contemporaryathon for the second time.

Last round’s TBR: (VIDEO)

Last round’s Wrap Up: (VIDEO)

Hosts: Julie, Chelsea, and Natasha

Date: 2/12 – 2/18

1. Newly acquired contemporary

LOVE, HATE & OTHER FILTERS by Samira Ahmed – This is one of my most anticipated reads of the year and at the time that I’m making this TBR, it’s the most recent contemporary that I’ve checked out from the library.

2. Contemporary book with pink on the cover

LETTERS TO THE LOST by Brigid Kemmerer – I’ll be buddy reading this with my friend Taylor, so that we can finally read our arcs of MORE THAN WE CAN TELL, which is the spinoff. You don’t HAVE to read LETTERS before, but we like publication order!

(Also this is totally kidding because only the UK cover has pink, but I need to get to it this month, so shut up)

3. Read a hyped contemporary

DOUBLING UP: LOVE, HATE & OTHER FILTERS (Your boy gots to be realistic!! Don’t judge!)

4. Read a diverse contemporary

TRIPLING UP: LOVE, HATE & OTHER FILTERS (ok, fine. you can now judge. i deserve it at this point.)

5. Read a dark or taboo contemporary

6. Read a contemporary graphic novel

NOTHING CAN POSSIBLY GO WRONG by Prudence Shen – I literally have nooo idea what this is about, but it’s the only graphic novel I own on my TBR.

7. Read a contemporary that was recommended to you

I MAY double up with LOVE, HATE & OTHER FILTERS, but we will see…
